118 (tied). Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018)
DisneyDeath count: 2
"Murderers!" Many CGI flying ants were killed in the making of this film, but hardly any human characters bought the big one. Only the scientist Elias and his wife, who were experimenting with the Quantum Realm, are scratched out in this film.
218 (tied). Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Sony//Marvel StudiosDeath count: 2
There are just two deaths in Spider-Man's first entry into the MCU – and Adrian Toomes (The Vulture, played by Michael Keaton) is responsible for both. It should have been three but Mac Gargan, who is hit with a car in the ferry fight, shows up fine later in the film.

317 (tied). Iron Man 2 (2010)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 12
Given the heights Tony Stark's kill count will rise to when he joins forces with the Avengers, the 12 on-screen deaths in this second film are a drop in the ocean.
417 (tied). Ant-Man (2015)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 12
Ant-Man ties with Iron Man 2 with its 12 deaths (but only because we're not counting the six flying ants, rest their souls).

516. Doctor Strange (2016)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 16
Let's face it, a kill count of 16 is positively restrained for a superhero movie. But we're not counting all the times Dormammu wipes out Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange before finally deciding it's time to bargain.
615. The Incredible Hulk (2008)
UniversalDeath count: 25
Most of the 25 losses in Edward Norton's Hulk movie are military personnel, as they first try to capture Bruce Banner's alter ego and then wrestle with their own creation, the Abomination.

714. Black Panther (2018)
DisneyDeath count: 36
Call yourself a Killmonger? This solo outing for the MCU's newest Avenger was witness to only 36 deaths. Wakanda wouldn't be so lucky next time out...
813. Iron Man 3 (2013)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 76
Shane Black's excellent movie includes 76 kills in total, with 14 chalked up by Tony Stark. Once again it's left to Pepper Potts to personally handle the bad guy, as she goes full Extremis on Aldrich Killian's ass.

912. Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 80
None of the warring superheroes bite the bullet but there are still 80 other deaths to count up as the team fight terrorists and the Winter Soldier's dirty little secret is exposed.
1011. Iron Man (2008)
DisneyDeath count: 85
The first movie in the MCU centres on a weapons manufacturer taken prisoner in Afghanistan, so the count is a fairly sizeable 85 people. A quarter of those occur during Tony Stark's escape in the Iron Man Mark I armour, but it's Pepper Potts who actually despatches main bad guy Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges).

1110. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Everett / REX//ParamountDeath count: 105
Cap's first outing breaks a ton with 105 deaths overall. Well, there was a World War going on! And one of those deaths would turn out not to be as permanent as we thought – we're looking at you, Bucky.
129. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
DisneyDeath count: 157
Half of the number of deaths in this second Avengers movie occur in the opening attack on a Hydra base, with the film reaching 157 by the time Ultron is sent to silicon heaven.

138. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 177
How is such large-scale destruction accompanied by a death count as low as 177? You can thank the fact it doesn't take many people to pilot a largely automated helicarrier.
147. Thor (2011)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 223
It's impressive that Asgard stood as long as it did, given how many races have a beef with it. As we kick off the God of Thunder's adventures, it's the ice giants knocking at the door and getting Thor's hammer in their face as casualties on both sides reach 223.

156. Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 331
Kicking off with a look back at the war against the dark elves before heading straight into a modern-day skirmish gives the early scenes in this film the kind of body count most MCU outings manage over their entire runtime. An impressive 331 die in the Asgardian's second adventure overall, with those bombs that explode out and squish people as they pull them back in being the most cinematic.
165. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
DisneyDeath count: 346
It was always going to be a struggle to match the deaths from the first film (see later slide) but come on, it's like the sequel wasn't even trying! Still, 346 is pretty high compared to most Marvel films and you can thank Michael Rooker's Yondu Udonta for 209 of those.

174. Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
DisneyDeath count: 450
With Goddess of Death Hela on the warpath and the kingdom of Asgard facing utter destruction, the deaths must be in the millions, right? It's thanks to the actions of Thor's Revengers that it's kept to a bare minimum of 450.
183. The Avengers (2012)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 1,019
A poll of the top 10 deadliest Hollywood movies suggested this first super team-up contained 1,019 deaths. But that figure definitely doesn't include the estimated 75,000 destroyed by Iron Man when he takes out the attacking Chitauri fleet with a nuke.

192. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Marvel StudiosDeath count: 83,871
Before the Thanos snap, this light-hearted outing held the record for the most MCU deaths with 83,871 fatalities overall! That's largely down to the 80,000 Nova Corps pilots who lay down their lives in defence of their planet in the closing scenes.
201. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Death count: Countless billions
There are 1,169 on screen deaths in Avengers: Infinity War – that would technically put it behind Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers Assemble. But bad man Thanos is responsible for a whole heap more than that, having snapped his fingers and wiped out half of all living things in the galaxy, so it's really an (im)moral for Infinity War.
