Community creator Dan Harmon was recently revealed to be helping on Doctor Strange's reshoots, and an eagle-eyed Reddit user has noticed that he apparently spoiled the secret villain behind Marvel's next movie... a month ago.
(Warning: Spoilers to follow.)
Regular readers may remember us harping on that Mads Mikkelsen's Kaecilius can't *possibly* be the ultimate threat to Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme.
Even compared to some of the MCU's other less than stellar bad guys, Kaecilius is a minor sidekick that has appeared in a tiny handful of 50+ years worth of Doctor Strange stories.
Bifrost51 has pointed out a brief moment during the Harmontown podcast from San Diego Comic-Con in July in which the spoiler in question flashed up on Harmon's screen.
One of the documents is title 'Strange Confronts Dormammu'.
What to Read Next
Beyond Mordo – who is portrayed by Chiwetel Ejiofor in the movie – the interdimensional sorcerer Dormammu is undoubtedly Strange's greatest foe, having clashed with him repeatedly since his introduction in 1964 (and certainly a lot more times than Kaecilius).
The details we know about Doctor Strange have revealed that Kaecilius and his followers have been corrupted by dark magic. Could Dormammu be the source of their power?
As for Mordo, he is apparently being portrayed as Strange's ally – at least for the time being.
Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins and Tilda Swinton will also star in the film.
Doctor Strange will be released in the UK on October 28 and in the US on November 4.
