Netflix is close to signing a deal for the global-streaming rights of a film starring Michael Shannon as Bigfoot.
Well, kind of.
The actor stars in Pottersville, an indie dramedy co-starring Christina Hendricks which follows a local businessman (Shannon) mistaken for Bigfoot after he dons a gorilla costume during a wild night of drinking and staggers through the woods.
His actions end up making him an internet sensation, bringing international media attention and boosting the economy of his small town.
