Forget about the mythic Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, it's now all about the director's Batman v Superman that never was, apparently.

But that's not all – Zack also hinted at another tragic deviation from the comic books, and also one that we'll probably never see play out in the DCEU: the death of Robin.

When asking if the shot of Robin's defaced suit in Batman v Superman was a nod to the comics' Death in the Family arc, Zack suggested that they were actually only half-right.

In the comics, and in fans' minds, the suit belonged to Jason Todd, the second of incarnation of Robin – but in Snyder's DCEU, that's not quite the case.

'What makes you think that's Jason Todd?' he cryptically responded, hinting that he'd actually killed off Dick Grayson (the first Robin) instead.
