Steven Spielberg's nostalgia-packed Ready Player One just got a whole lot more nostalgic thanks to a brand new set of posters.

OK, so we don't know if these are official tie-ins, but a series of posters have popped-up with nods to some classic movies, including Back to the Future, The Matrix and Blade Runner.

Other films that get shoutouts include The Goonies, The Iron Giant, Risky Business, Bullitt, The Breakfast Club and Beetlejuice.

While they look rather cool to our eyes, the posters have proved rather divisive on social media:

Last year, another poster for the movie made headlines after fans pointed out what seemed to be a Photoshop error.

In the picture, Tye Sheridan's legs look a lot longer than they are supposed to be, though the whole thing was debunked by one Twitter user in a very detailed explanation.

The movie recently dropped a brand new trailer which contains a neat little Easter egg from Spielberg's own classic Jurassic Park.

Ready Player One centres on Wade (Tye Sheridan) and his girlfriend Samantha (Olivia Cooke), who unleash a revolution in the virtual reality world OASIS as the real world crumbles around them.

Ready Player One is released in UK and US cinemas on March 29.
