Ahead of the release of Avengers: Infinity War in April next year, we have a sneak peak at 17 Marvel superheroes in action.

Courtesy of Vanity Fair, a variety of extremely famous faces from the forthcoming movie gathered together to pose for four different covers of the magazine's holiday edition.

The covers come alongside the reveal by Marvel boss Kevin Feige that a lot of our favourite MCU heroes will die in the fourth Avengers movie (which will be released after Infinity War on April 26, 2019).

And while we're super bummed by the news of our favourite characters' possible demise, these pretty covers are real day-brighteners.

But don't just take our word for it, have a look for yourselves – although if you disagree, you're wrong.
