Tom Cruise comes face-to-face with the evil villain from The Mummy in a new picture - and it's creepy as hell.

The snap shows Nick Morton (Tom Cruise) meeting up with Princess Ahmanet (Sofia Boutella) who is chained up and covered in ripping bandages as we are used to.

"They're finally face-to-face," director Alex Kurtzman told Entertainment Weekly. "He's realising that he's deeply, and desperately, cursed."

It's a great extra peek at what is shaping up to be quite a terrifying reboot.

However, if it's a bit of a laugh you're after, you'll definitely want to check out the hilarious trailer that IMAX accidentally uploaded.

It's pretty much the official trailer but mostly without the music and all the background noise, so basically we get to hear everybody's comical yelps and screams.

Kurtzman also filled us in on the shared Universal Monsters universe that will be happening in the future – you know, the one along the lines of the Avengers, but with evil monsters.

"The movie's called The Mummy, not The Mummy Meets 12 Other Monsters," Kurtzman explained.

"If we create a world that feels interesting and scary, then we will have succeeded in setting up the larger universe."

The Mummy will be released on June 9, 2017 in the UK and the US.
