Deadpool 2's Josh Brolin has shared the first picture of himself as time-travelling mutant assassin Cable, trolling co-star Ryan Reynolds in the process.
Last night (April 18) Brolin posted the first picture of himself getting the Cable treatment.
In this snap, it looks like he's getting fitted with a rather uncomfortable-looking purple mask for the upcoming role in the movie.
"You know, just meditating," he said before offloading a series of hashtags.

The Avengers: Infinity War actor was recently cast as Cable in an alleged four-movie deal with 20th Century Fox, which came as a bit of a surprise given he already plays Marvel's other big bad Thanos.

The snap and its subsequent hashtag captions could of course be a retaliation to Ryan Reynolds's previous diss tweet, implying he was none too happy about Brolin's casting.
Someone who is totally fine with it – however – is Marvel president Kevin Feige.
In a recent interview, Feige said he's happy with Brolin playing both Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, as well as Cable in the yet-to-shoot Deadpool 2.

"We don't have anything written into our contracts about other roles that people can do," Feige told Deadline.
"Indiana Jones and Han Solo are the same person… it hasn't been a problem. And I think Thanos and Cable are two very different characters."
Given the reputation of both these big bads, that's probably a very wise move on his part.
