Ridley Scott is gearing up to release Alien: Covenant, which is both a Prometheus sequel and Alien prequel, in May of this year.
But it looks like he's already thinking ahead, and wants to keep the space train rolling at full speed.
The Sydney Morning Herald visited the set and sat down for a chat with Scott, who said he's already got the script written for the next instalment.
"You've got to assume to a certain extent success and from that you'd better be ready," he said.
"You don't want a two-year gap. So I'll be ready to go again next year."
But those of you hoping that he's referring to finally getting Neill Blomkamp's proposed Alien 5 underway are going to be sorely disappointed.

The publication reports that Covenant is one of three sequels to Prometheus and, by the end of these four films, we will arrive at what he calls "the back entrance" of his original.
If that wasn't enough to suggest Scott has no interest in Alien sequels, he briefly talks about David Fincher's controversial Alien 3 and seems to suggest that he's really not a fan.
Alien: Covenant will star newcomers Katherine Waterston, Demián Bichir, Billy Crudup, James Franco and Danny McBride alongside a returning Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender.
