Hank Pym will definitely be making an appearance in Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp as Michael Douglas has confirmed he will be returning.

Douglas, who played Scott Lang's mentor in Ant-Man, revealed he's already started growing the necessary facial hair for the role that starts shooting in the summer.

That's confirmation enough for us.

He wrote on Facebook as he posed next to a poster: "Getting ready to play Dr. Pym again in Ant-Man 2 shooting in July. Need to start growing the goatee now."

He said back in 2015 that he'd already had the call from the studio over the possibility of reprising his role and he was excited about the idea of a sequel.

"I just got a call recently - they want to negotiate for a sequel and I thought, 'That's great!'" he revealed.

What to Read Next

"Hopefully, I won't have to carry quite as much expositional dialogue as the first one, but I had a wonderful time doing it. Just a great, great time."

Ant-Man director Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Peña will all be back for the sequel as well.

Reed is keeping the plot close to his chest, but he has promised that Lilly's character isn't just a foil to Rudd's and will be back in a big way for the follow-up.

Ant-Man and The Wasp flies into cinemas on July 6, 2018.
