Kneel before Zack Snyder! The Batman v Superman director has created undoubtedly the best fan mash-up EVER of the DC Universe and Star Wars.

We've known Zack is a massive Star Wars fan for ages now, so he's the perfect choice to give Batman v Superman a twist in the epic trailer for Dark Side Night v Super Jedi: Dawn of the Alliance.

In this vision of the DC Extended Universe, Superman (Henry Cavill) is the last of the Jedi defending the light against a Batman (Ben Affleck) who has embraced the dark power within.

The result is the most incredible movie you'll never see. Batman wielding a lightsaber and fending off the Millennium Falcon? Check. Metropolis' Superman statue being defaced with 'False Jedi' graffiti? Check.

Better yet, Yoda's iconic warning to Luke Skywalker is reframed as Batman struggling to resist the temptation to join Darth Vader on the Dark Side.

"Anger. Fear. Aggression. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. Consume you it will," he's warned by Yoda.

Even Batman v Superman's most iconic line of dialogue takes an ominous new turn, as the Dark Knight warns the Man of Steel: "Tell me - do you embrace the dark side? You will!"

"In anticipation of Rogue One, I wanted to share a little Star Wars fan film I made after JJ released his Hunka Junk mash-up…long overdue," Snyder wrote on his social media platform Vero as he unveiled the mash-up.

A parallel between Star Wars' Jedi mythology and Superman as the Last Son of Krypton has clearly been on Zack Snyder's mind for many years - and the director even directly compared the violence in both movies this past spring.

"In Star Wars, they destroy five planets with billions of people on them," he argued, referencing the mass casualties in his own Man of Steel.

"That's gotta be one of the highest death toll movies in history, the new Star Wars movie, if you just do the math."

We've been rough on Zack Snyder in the past (and deservedly so) - but we're asking Lucasfilm now: Give this man a Star Wars movie pronto! Or at least let him cut a new Rogue One trailer.
