Dwayne Johnson's Baywatch trailer washes ashore tomorrow - but here's a little taste

Pull those red swimming trunks out of the closet because the first Baywatch trailer is about to breach the shore.

The first full preview for Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron's '90s TV reboot arrives on Thursday (December 7), but there's a sneak peek for you to swoon over below:

This tongue-in-cheek 20-second teaser boasts that "the ocean's most powerful force will emerge," as Dwayne swoops out of the water with a rescued woman in his arms.

The Rock's version of Baywatch is more action-adventure and a bit less cheesy, although surely there'll still be some cheese. It is Baywatch after all.

Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron and Kelly Rohrbach are slipping into the infamous red bikinis made fashionable by David Hasselhoff, David Charvet and Pamela Anderson all throughout the '90s.

The Hoff and Pammy will have cameos too - just to pump up the nostalgic factor a little bit more.

Expect a heated rivalry between veteran lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne Johnson) and Matt Brody (Zac Efron), or as The Rock recently put it: "My character can't stand this prick. And he hates me too!"

The beach crew will also include Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra, Johnson's San Andreas co-star Alexandra Daddario and comedian Rob Huebel.

Baywatch crashes into UK cinemas on May 12, 2017 and makes landfall in the US on May 26.

It's a busy week for The People's Champ, as his Fast & Furious 8 trailer is also premiering during a massive live-streamed fan event in New York City on Sunday (December 11).
