Warning: The following article contains major spoilers for Fantastic Beasts.
With four Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequels in the works from JK Rowling, fans are already guessing which characters from the wizarding world will cross over.
One key figure in the first Fantastic Beasts movie is the Magical Congress of the USA's president Seraphina Picquery, played with infectious wit by Independent Spirit Award-nominated Selma actress Carmen Ejogo.
Digital Spy caught up with Carmen at Fantastic Beasts' UK premiere, and asked if fans can expect to see Seraphina pop up when the franchise moves to Paris and the UK for its sequel.
"The world is so secretive that all of those sorts of details are kept under wraps for everyone," she insisted. "Even making the film, the scripts were not physical. They would disappear if we took a photograph of them or anything.
"The level of secrecy is so high because we don't want to spoil it for the fans. We don't want it to get out! I can't possibly tell you anything about what's in the future for Seraphina Picquery, but I don't think it's the last you've seen of her."
What to Read Next
One key scene in the film centres around Seraphina revealing one of the Potter mythology's biggest secrets in the presence of the dark wizard Grindelwald, played in a cameo by Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp.
"The whole thing was pretty incredible," Carmen said of working with Johnny. "We couldn't talk about him being in the film… that was a big secret and a big reveal.
"I think I have the most satisfying line of the whole film when I get to reveal, with Johnny, some pretty satisfying information."
While he only has a brief appearance in the first movie, Rowling and director David Yates have already promised that future films will explore the connection between Depp's dark wizard and Dumbledore.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them invites us back to the wizarding world on November 18, with four more sequels directed by Yates to follow over the next several years.
