The Wasp isn't in Captain America: Civil War, but it sounds like she'll be getting plenty of limelight in 2018's Ant-Man sequel.
Director Peyton Reed, speaking on the Civil War red carpet yesterday (April 12), talked up the plans they have for Hope van Dyne - played by Evangeline Lilly - in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
"Evangeline is an amazing actress," he said (via Entertainment Weekly). "The first movie was really about her coming into her own as a hero, even though we didn't see her suit up yet.
"So we're excited about now being able to show her fully formed and what she is as a superhero: her power set, how she fights, and what are the injustices that matter to her that she wants to right.
"That's part of the really fun thing of the next movie."
Reed also told a Marvel reporter that there isn't a script just yet.
"We're hard at work writing the movie right now," he said. "We're all brainstorming the story, and the only thing I can tell you with certainty at this point is that it's going to have stuff in it that you've never seen in a movie before."
