Marvel's Spider-Man reboot is crawling closer to actually hitting the big screen with a major casting.
Disney favourite Zendaya has signed on to play a mysterious character named Michelle opposite new Spidey actor Tom Holland.
The character is curiously not being described as a romantic interest for Peter Parker although further details aren't yet available, reports Deadline.
Zendaya rose to fame in Disney Channel's Shake It Up, and has more recently competed on Dancing with the Stars and launched kids show K.C. Undercover.
Tom Holland will first be seen in Captain America: Civil War, before getting his own movie next year.
This solo outing won't be an origin story for the webslinger, although this version of Peter Parker will be high-school age.
