John Boyega has spoken about the Oscars diversity scandal, saying that it's "important that the conversation carries on".
The actor spoke to Digital Spy and others after winning the Rising Star award at the EE BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday (February 14).

Boyega said: "I think it's important that the conversation carries on. And I think that in terms of individuality everybody should be the change they want to see.
"And then we should build from there, but keep talking, keep doing, and that's something we should definitely fixate on. And I believe that gradually things will change."

He added: "Because I'm trying to work, and nobody's gonna stop me. So we'll see how that goes. But I'm hoping this conversation is a positive one."
On Oscar diversity, he added: "I'm trying to work, nobody's gonna stop me."
And working he is, as the actor also confirmed he begins filming for Star Wars: Episode 8 tomorrow, joking that his shiny new BAFTA would look great on the Millennium Falcon.
