Hannibal Buress will be donning a Speedo as he joins the cast of Baywatch

Hannibal Buress had better invest in a Speedo as he's joining the cast of Baywatch.

The comedian will appear as a bay local in the ensemble cast alongside the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra (via ComingSoon.net).

The film will be an adaptation of the 1990s TV series that starred the likes of David Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson and Shawn Weatherly.

After a brief cancellation the show returned and added Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson to the cast.

Baywatch is due for release on May 19, 2017.

Hannibal Buress will next be seen in Broad City when the show returns to Comedy Central on February 17.
