It's the one you've been waiting for: The new Baywatch movie has finally cast its CJ, the lifeguard made famous by Pamela Anderson in the '90s.

Sports Illustrated swimsuit model-turned-actress Kelly Rohrbach is taking on the major role, starring alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the much-anticipated adaptation.

Johnson - a producer on the film - was happy to share some on-set videos via Instagram on Monday (January 4), captioning one: "Yes, she's a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she's smart, tough and funny."

While this is Rohrbach's first big acting part, she has made brief appearances on the likes of Two and a Half Men and Rizzoli & Isles - and she also recently dated Leonardo DiCaprio.

Pamela Anderson, meanwhile, may not approve. She had a little dig at the Baywatch movie last year, claiming that "no-one appreciates remakes".

Horrible Bosses' Seth Gordon is directing. The film also stars Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario.

The Baywatch Movie hasn't got a confirmed release date yet, but it's likely to hit screens in 2017.
