Chatting with Digital Spy at the London premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Pegg stressed that he equally loves both franchises.
"I don't think one has [the advantage]. They both mean a lot to me and I'm not 8, so I don't need a favorite," he quipped. "They're both great movies and great stories, so I love them both."

The experience of filming on director JJ Abrams's Star Wars sequel was clearly overwhelming for Pegg.
"It was incredible to be around the world of Star Wars," Pegg said. "As a fan of the original movies, to be a part of the new one I felt very honoured."
We recently got a major hint about Pegg's Force Awakens character – who eagle-eyed viewers might even be hard-pressed to spot in the finished film.

Laurence joined the committee for the British Society of Magazine Editors in 2022 and was named vice-chair in 2025. He has since hosted panels with CEOs of Immediate Media and the Media Trust at the PPA Festival, as well as presenting his own radio show on Green Man Radio at Green Man Festival in 2022. Laurence has been lucky enough to interview numerous celebrities, actors, and musicians throughout his career.
