Along with detailed descriptions of the land's main attractions, the studio also used the time during Disney's D23 expo in Anaheim on Saturday (August 15) to confirm the park's official name as Pandora: The World of Avatar.

Writing on their official blog, Disney revealed that Florida's Animal Kingdom park will "transform after dark with new nighttime entertainment experiences".
The Sunset Kilimanjaro Safari is among the attractions being revamped for The World of Avatar, as it will be extended into night from next spring.
Guests will be able to travel through the African savanna amid the magically-extended orange glow of the setting sun, and discover two species new to the attraction: African wild dogs and hyenas.

Other attractions at the park will include the previously-announced Avatar Flight of Passage, which recreates one of the film's scenes as guests soar on a Banshee over a vast alien world, and the innovative "Rivers of Light", a boat ride through the mystical Pandora that combines live performers, floating lanterns, water screens and animal imagery.
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts also confirmed that two new film-themed lands will be coming soon to Disney Parks across America during Saturday's D23 conference.
Those announced include two Star Wars-themed lands in Disneyland and Disney World, alongside a new Toy Story land in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Pandora: The World of Avatar is scheduled to open in 2017 to coincide with the release of the next film in James Cameron's Avatar series.
Avatar 2 will be released on Christmas Day in 2017, with two more sequels to follow through 2019.
The original film's stars Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Zoe Saldana are all slated to return.
