Love and Death and Marvel Cinematic Universe actor Elizabeth Olsen has landed her next movie role.

Deadline reports that the star has been cast opposite Julia Roberts in new paranoid thriller Panic Carefully. Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr Robot, has written the script and will direct.

It actually serves as a reunion between Roberts and Esmail after Netflix's Leave the World Behind last year, and this film was being circled by the streamers, until Warner Bros won the bidding war and committed to a theatrical run.

Unfortunately, practically all details about the film's plot are being kept under wraps for now.

Meanwhile, also being kept under wraps is whether Olsen's character Wanda Maximoff is still alive in the MCU, after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' ending left her fate ambiguous.

There's definitely a want from Olsen to go back, with the actor stating recently that: "It's a character that I love going back to when there's a way to use her well, and I think I have been lucky that when I started I was used well within Age of Ultron."

She continued: "I think people didn't know what to do with me for a second there, and then they were able to utilise the character well in interesting ways of telling stories in ways they hadn't yet.

"And so if there's a good way to use her I'm always happy to come back, whether they can make that make sense."

She has also said that if Wanda does come back, she'd like her to have more humour than before, stating that she's been the emotional centre of quite a few projects and wants to explore different facets of the character.
