Ralph Fiennes has given a few insights into his "good doctor" character in Danny Boyle's hotly anticipated 28 Years Later trilogy.

The follow-up to Boyle's 2002 horror on a rage virus outbreak is expected to be released in three chapters, with Fiennes joining Cillian Murphy, who reprises the role of Jim.

The first film in the trilogy is directed by Boyle, while the second, titled 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple, is helmed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman). Returning screenwriter Alex Garland penned all three scripts, with Boyle on producing duties on the whole trilogy.
