Reacher star Alan Ritchson has landed his next lead movie role in upcoming action-thriller Runner.
According to Deadline, the film will follow a high-end courier who has three hours to transport an organ that will save the life of a seven-year-old girl.
However, the courier's seemingly simple mission soon turns deadly when the leader of a notorious crime syndicate becomes hell-bent on claiming the organ.

As well as starring in the film, Ritchson will produce alongside Todd Garner, Dan Spilo, Mark Fasano and Jeffrey Greenstein. Expendables 4 filmmaker Scott Waugh is on board to direct.
"Runner with the driving force of an actor like Alan Ritchson reminds me of the Tony Scott action films I grew up on in the '90s when character and story were pivotal and the action was a spectacle," Waugh shared in a statement.

Runner isn't the only project Ritchson has in the works, as the actor was also recently cast in upcoming romantic movie Counting Miracles.
The film, which is an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' book of the same name, is part of Ritchson's three-movie deal with Amazon. This includes upcoming Christmas comedy The Man With The Bag with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Ritchson is also set to star in new action-comedy Playdate, Netflix's sci-fi action movie War Machine, 1970s-set drama Motor City, and reprise his role as Agent Aimes in the 11th film in the Fast & Furious franchise.
As if his schedule wasn't already busy enough, the actor will also return as Jack Reacher for Reacher season three, and guest star in the show's upcoming spin-off series Neagley.
