Chris Hemsworth has addressed his Deadpool & Wolverine cameo, claiming that Thor's mysterious scene will be explained.

The God of Thunder made a brief appearance in the hugely-successful Deadpool sequel, using footage that was reworked from Thor: The Dark World.

Viewers were left confused when Thor was shown in an alternate reality, crying over Deadpool's body.

In an interview for his movie Transformers One, Hemsworth revealed he was just as perplexed by Thor's tears.

"I'm asking the same question," he told Black Girl Nerds. "I don't know." "You were sobbing," interjected Transformers One co-star Brian Tyree Henry.

Hemsworth reminded fans of the MCU's wider, interconnected plots, reassuring them that their questions will ultimately be resolved.

"You'll have to keep your focus on the Marvel Universe 'cause there will be an answer. It will be told one day," he explained.

Meanwhile, Henry, who played Phatos in The Eternals, hinted at own his involvement in Thor's emotional scene. "I wonder if I'm connected to that answer," he joked, suggesting it was unclear who Thor was holding whilst crying.

"No, it was Deadpool," clarified Hemsworth, to which Henry replied: "But maybe it was me as Deadpool."

They might not have worked together on Deadpool & Wolverine, but Hemsworth and Henry will both star in the latest Transformers movie.

Described as the franchise's origin story, Transformers One will follow how Orion Pax/Optimus Prime (Hemsworth) and D-16/Megatron (Henry) went from brothers-in-arms to sworn enemies.

Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in cinemas. Transformers One is out now in US cinemas and is released in UK cinemas on October 11.
