Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers follow.

Chris Hemsworth has responded to Deadpool & Wolverine's mysterious scene with Thor.

The third Deadpool movie is filled with cameos from the Marvel multiverse, but Hemsworth's appearance as the God of Thunder is possibly the most intriguing.

Thor is shown crying over Deadool's body in an alternate reality, yet Hemsworth didn't film anything new for Deadpool & Wolverine. Instead, the filmmakers reworked footage from Thor: The Dark World to fit the necessary scene.

Ryan Reynolds recently poked fun at fan theories over Thor's tearful cameo by writing on Twitter / X: "I know why Thor was crying. I can't unknow it. #DeadpoolAndWolverine."

Hemsworth subsequently replied to Reynolds: "I can keep secrets too."

Fans knew ahead of Deadpool & Wolverine's record-breaking release that Thor would somehow feature in the film.

In June, Hemsworth suggested he was pleased with Thor being referenced in the multiverse-bending movie even if he didn't get to film anything new.

"It's really cool," he said in an interview with ComicBook. "You kind of forget, and be like, 'Oh, cool! I'm part of the team. They're talking about me, and I'm not in [the movie]. But, I mean, that whole world is really cool to be part of.

"I think what makes it all look really cool is the interconnected nature of it."

Deadpool & Wolverine bends the fabric of the Marvel multiverse by having its two heroes sent to a Void outside of any known universes in the MCU.

In this Void, the Merc with a Mouth and Logan must battle Charles Xavier's estranged sister, Cassandra Nova, with the help of characters from the X-Men, Daredevil, Fantastic Four and Blade films.

Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in cinemas.
