Rob Delaney is back as the one-and-only Peter in Deadpool & Wolverine after he was brought back from the dead in Deadpool 2's credits scene.
We don't know too much about how Peter figures into the new MCU movie, but it seems he's working with Wade Wilson, who at the start of the movie, has quit the superhero business to be a car salesperson.
Talking to Digital Spy, Delaney said it was "utterly bananas" that he's now an MCU star, having been "grandfathered" into the universe. While he wouldn't go into specifics, he has teased how it compares to before.
"I haven't been coached on what to say here. It felt different. It felt bigger, for sure. I mean, it still felt controlled, and you felt Ryan's authorial voice moving through it, and it felt pure, but yeah, it felt bigger," he noted.

Even though Deadpool is now officially part of the MCU, Ryan Reynolds is still leading the way both on- and off-screen.

For Delaney, it's Reynolds who makes it all work.
"He had a character that nobody [where] there weren't competing Deadpool projects in Hollywood, people weren't like, 'We'll get it right'. He was the only person who was like, 'This is Deadpool, Deadpool is a film, I'm gonna star in it, and I'm gonna create it'", he explained.
"He really muscled it into existence with belief and sweat and tears [and that] is reflected in the final product because he just bleeds into every aspect of it. There's no Deadpool without Ryan Reynolds at all. I mean, come on, imagine trying to reverse engineer it?"

As for what Reynolds and Co. have in store for us in Deadpool & Wolverine, we'll have to wait to find out.
Shawn Levy has been teasing the movie's "bold" opening sequence, though, while Emma Corrin – who plays villain Cassandra Nova – has revealed the advice that Hugh Jackman gave them.
Deadpool & Wolverine is released in UK cinemas on July 25 and in US cinemas on July 26.
