Lily Gladstone's new coming-of-age film Fancy Dance is now streaming on Apple TV+, one of the best streaming services for original content.
The drama follows Jax (Gladstone), who has cared for her niece Roki (Isabel Deroy-Olson) since the disappearance of her sister, while she scrapes by on the Seneca-Cayuga Reservation in Oklahoma.
Devoting all of her spare time to finding her missing sister and helping her niece prepare for an upcoming powwow, when the risk of losing custody to Roki's grandfather comes up, the pair defy the law and head out on a road trip to scour the backcountry for Jax's sister.

The critically-acclaimed film is directed by Erica Tremblay and will spotlight "the complexities and contradictions of Indigenous women moving through a colonised world while at the mercy of a failed justice system", according to the official synopsis.
Starring alongside Gladstone and Deroy-Olsen are Shea Whigham, Ryan Begay, Crystle Lightning and Audrey Wasilewski.
Since the filming of Fancy Dance concluded, Gladstone has become the first-ever Indigenous performer to be honoured at the Golden Globes awards. She won Best Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in Killers of the Flower Moon.
