Hans Zimmer is to collaborate with Junkie XL on Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The award-winning composer, who announced in April that he would score the movie, revealed that he plans to soundtrack Superman's scenes while Junkie XL will be behind Batman's.
Zimmer created the scores for both Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and Snyder's Superman reboot.
The music producer explained that he was initially unsure over what direction to take with the soundtrack of the upcoming superhero blockbuster.
"I have agonized over it. I agonized over it, so much so that finally, I went, I don't want to betray what Chris [Nolan], James Newton Howard and I did," he told Comic Book Resources.
"And so I asked Zack [Snyder] if it would be okay if I called a friend in. And I'm going to be working with Junkie XL, who really is a great friend."
