The Veronica Mars movie will be released via digital download and at cinemas on the same day, March 14.
The Kickstarter-funded film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray later in the year.

This will mark the first time one of Hollywood's six major studios - in this case Warner Bros - has distributed a movie in cinemas and for home viewing simultaneously in the US.
Cinemas have traditionally insisted on a 'theatrical window', meaning that a film cannot be released for home viewing until 90 days after its cinema run.
The Wall Street Journal reports that, as Warner Bros has set up an unusual arrangement whereby it will rent 260 screens across the US from AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc, the simultaneous releases are not viewed as violating the 90-day policy.
Nikkole Denson-Randolph, AMC's vice president of special and alternative content, said the amount of time the cinema rentals last for will depend on how well the film does.
"On projects like this where we know we have a partner with the resources to promote the film and an easily targetable audience, we will rent theatres out," she explained.
It was recently confirmed that the Veronica Mars movie will have a limited run in the UK.
