Madame Web might not have swung to success on its opening weekend, but the Spider-Man spin-off is still out in cinemas if you want to see whether it deserved to be savaged by critics.
Sure, it's unlikely to actually lead to a sequel unless its box office dramatically improves, but the filmmakers didn't know that when Madame Web was created. That means it's fair to assume there might be something hinting at the future.
The movie tells the origin story of Cassandra Webb (Dakota Johnson) and even ends with a Spider-Man tease, lining up a potential crossover in future movies had Madame Web done better at the box office.
So even though Madame Web is not an MCU movie, does it contain any credit scenes to hint at the future?
Here's the definitive guide to Madame Web and whether it has any end credit scenes to stick around for.
Does Madame Web have a post-credit scene?
Even though the cast are up for a sequel, we can confirm that Madame Web does not have a any credits scenes.
What to Read Next
There's nothing during the credits or post-credits, so as soon as the movie is wrapped up, you can head home. There's no MCU crossover here like there was with Morbius and the surprise Vulture appearance.
Whether or not that's a disappointment is up for you to decide.
Why doesn't Madame Web have an end credits scene?
Following its release, director SJ Clarkson said that the lack of any credit scenes was down to wanting to "tell a great story".
"My father always used to say, 'If you have to say something, stand up, speak up and then shut up'. So when I got to the end credits, I felt that we'd said everything we needed to say in the film," Clarkson told The Hollywood Reporter.
"It's up to whatever is next to take on the [baton]."
Some spoilers of Madame Web ahead.
The biggest connection to a bigger Spider-Man universe is the presence of the Parker family. Ben Parker aka Uncle Ben (played by Adam Scott) works with Cassandra as a paramedic. We also see her sister, Mary Parker (played by Emma Roberts), who is pregnant with Peter.
At the end of the movie, Peter is born, but that's the extent of what viewers can see of his story.
Fans might be expecting a Spider-Man cameo in a mid-credit or post-credit scene, or some sort of tease for the next Sony-Marvel movie (Kraven the Hunter), but unfortunately there is nothing of the sort.
