Stranger Things actor Andrey Ivchenko is working with action hero Jean-Claude Van Damme on a new project.
Currently shooting in Los Angeles, it's a movie titled Darkness of Man, written and directed by James Cullen Bressack of The Call and Beyond the Law fame.
Described as a neo-noir action movie by The Hollywood Reporter, Van Damme plays the role of an Interpol agent named Hatch, who must protect the son of a murdered informant from a number of vicious gangs.

Ivchenko – best recognised for playing hitman Grigori in Stranger Things, as well as Kristoff in Lucifer – is attached to play the head of the Russian mob.
His businessman character has crossed Hatch before, and is described as intelligent, but also calculated and ruthless. As the two battle for supremacy, expect some killer fight scenes.
Ivchenko shared his happiness at the casting news on Instagram, saying: "The word is out. Can't wait for you guys to see this one!!! It was really great working with you @jcvd! Good times for sure.
"Special shout out to @jamescullenb and @jarrettfurst for having me be a part of this epic film."

As mentioned in Ivchenko's post, James Cullen Bressack is directing Darkness of Man, and is a producer alongside Jarrett Furst.
Bressack has also co-written the script with Alethea Cho, and their screenplay is based on an idea that he worked on with Van Damme.
"James and I have been working together closely for a while now on Darkness of Man," Van Damme said when the movie was first announced. "It's our passion project.
"I'm very excited to start filming in Los Angeles. Hopefully you all will enjoy what we create."
Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are now streaming worldwide on Netflix.
