Wonder Woman 3 director Patty Jenkins has made her first public comments following reports about her future with the movie.
It was initially reported that new Worlds of DC bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran had rejected Jenkins' pitch for the third Wonder Woman film, though Gunn later insisted he'd not been involved in the decision for Warner Bros to pass on the project.
This all led to further speculation about the status of Jenkins' Star Wars movie Rogue Squadron, which was announced a few years ago but hasn't really got off the ground.
The director attempted to set the record straight in a lengthy Twitter post on Wednesday (December 13) where she addressed both Wonder Woman 3 and Rogue Squadron.
Jenkins explained that she'd initially dropped out of Rogue Squadron in order to put all of her focus on the next Wonder Woman, but later agreed to a new deal to work on the Star Wars spinoff at a later date.
"I am still on it and that project has been in active development ever since. I don’t know if it will happen or not," she said of Rogue Squadron. "We never do until the development process is complete, but I look forward to its potential ahead."

As for Wonder Woman 3, Jenkins denied reports claiming she'd refused to accept Warner Bros executives' notes about changes they wanted for the third movie.
"When there started being backlash about WW3 not happening, the attractive clickbait false story that it was me that killed it or walked away started to spread," he said.
"This is simply not true. I never walked away. I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at this time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.
"I do not want what has been a beautiful journey with WW to land on negative note. I have loved and been so honored to be the person who got to make these last two Wonder Woman films. She is an incredible character. Living in and around her values makes one a better person every day. I wish her and her legacy an amazing future ahead, with or without me."
While James Gunn has insisted he wasn't involved in Jenkins' previous exit from Wonder Woman 3, it's likely that he and fellow new DC boss Peter Safran will now have a lot to consider with the director's comments.
Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984 are now available to rent or buy on streaming on Prime Video.
