Reacher star Willa Fitzgerald has landed her next role, leading a new thriller.

As reported by Deadline, Strange Darling is currently filming in Portland, Oregon. Alongside Fitzgerald, the film also stars Scream's Kyle Gallner, Better Call Saul's Ed Begley Jr, and Black Swan's Barbara Hershey.

The plot is being kept under wraps, but we know that Outlaws and Angels director JT Mollner is helming the project.

Gallner played Vince Schneider, a descendant of Stu Macher, in the most recent Scream movie. Begley Jr played Cliff Main, who initially hires Jimmy McGill at his law firm, in Better Call Saul.

Fitzgerald appeared in the first season of Reacher, but won't be reprising her role as police officer Roscoe Conklin for the upcoming second run.

Speaking to Digital Spy a few months back, Fitzgerald said that she was more than fine with not carrying on with the show.

"Yeah, I did know that from the get-go. I think that's a great opportunity to get to tell a clean and complete story, and then be able to walk away. I think it's a unique experience in TV," she said.

"Oftentimes, you think you're going to get another season, and you don't get another season, and you're abruptly cut off. Or you think you're going to keep doing it, and then something else intervenes.

"So it's nice to have the agency to know that that is a complete, finished product. And it was also great to be able to start off the whole Reacher world."

Reacher season one is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
