Neighbours star Daniel MacPherson and This Is Us favourite Milo Ventimiglia have joined the cast of Russell Crowe's next big-screen project.
Titled Land of Bad, this movie is set to kick off production later in the month with Underwater director Will Eubank calling the shots (via Variety).
Westworld regular Luke Hemsworth is also part of the cast, alongside Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games), Ricky Whittle (American Gods) and Chika Ikogwe (The Tourist).
MacPherson is well-known for playing Joel Samuels on the Ramsay Street soap, and recently returned for its final episodes.

Land of Bad introduces us to Crowe's Air Force drone pilot Reaper, out in the South Philippines assisting a Delta Force special ops task.

The official synopsis reveals: "After the mission goes terribly wrong, Reaper has 48 hours to remedy what has devolved into a wild rescue operation. The Tier-One team, led by Cpt Sugar (Ventimigila) and Sgt Abel (Luke Hemsworth) is redeployed to return and retrieve their captured man and the asset.
"They are joined by Kinney (Liam Hemsworth), a green Air Force JTAC officer, who is thrust into the middle of a high-stakes extraction.

"But the ground mission suddenly turns upside down and becomes a full-scale battle when the team is discovered by the enemy. With no weapons and no communication other than the drone above, Reaper becomes the young operator's only ticket out."
This is a different sort of role Oscar winner Crowe, who most recently injected some godly flamboyance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Thor: God and Thunder's Zeus.
