Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured a standout MCU villain in Wanda Maximoff AKA the Scarlet Witch, with actress Elizabeth Olsen delivering another superb performance in her continued role as Wanda.
But Wanda was seemingly crushed to death in the climax of the film when she brought down Wundagore Mountain around her to destroy the Darkhold, so we may have seen the last of her in the MCU. Or maybe not.

In a new interview with Empire, Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron addressed Wanda's MCU future.
"She's removing herself from the board... For now? Forever? We'll see. I'd like to see her again," Waldron said.
There are theories that Wanda survived the collapse of Wundagore. If you look closely during the destruction of the mountain, a red flash of energy can be seen amongst the rubble, which could be perceived as Wanda's death or survival.
Given the love the fans have for the character plus the track record of the MCU, however, it is likely that we will see Wanda again in some form or another. That is particularly true due to the multiverse being introduced. Whether we see the main version of Wanda or a Wanda from an alternate universe (or both?) remains to be seen.
Fans have long called for a Scarlet Witch solo movie and Olsen herself has said she "would love" to come back for more MCU projects. She previously said she'd love to star in an adaptation of a certain X-Men comic storyline.
The MCU has only just started to introduce the X-Men into the MCU with Patrick Stewart's Professor X appearing in Multiverse of Madness and Kamala Khan revealed to be a mutant in Ms Marvel earlier this year. Who knows what could happen?
More MCU projects will be announced at the upcoming D23 event, which will run from September 9 to September 11, so don't be surprised if a Scarlet Witch solo movie is finally announced.
