Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness breakout star Xochitl Gomez has landed her next movie role following her MCU debut earlier this year.
The new sci-fi thriller titled Ursa Major will follow mother and daughter Charlie, played by Birds of Prey star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Gomez's Natalie as they struggle to survive on another planet while evading a group of hunters and a fatal storm approaches.
But, according to The Hollywood Reporter, as Natalie gets older, she starts to doubt her mother's choices. That leads her to question everything about who they are, how they got to where they are now and everything they need to do to carry on.

Gomez came to the forefront earlier this year after starring in the second Doctor Strange instalment alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen.
The actress played America Chavez, a young girl from the Utopian Parallel who was being hunted by Olsen's Wanda Maximoff for her power – the ability to open star-shaped holes in reality.

Previously opening up about America Chavez's identity, Marvel Studios' Victoria Alonso said: "It was important that we make the effort to have every kid in this world represented in our universe, and she represents both the LGBTQ+ and Latinx community...
"[America] is a young Latina who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, and has great power. Children want to see themselves represented," she added.
"There is this level of identity that comes to be a very important moment in an adolescent's life – to see themselves; to not be invisible."
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is streaming on Disney+.
