Disney and Pixar's Lightyear DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Steelbooks are launching into the stratosphere very soon.
With the Toy Story spin-off set to land on Disney+ beginning Wednesday, August 3, the home video options won't be far behind, as they will be released on August 29, 2022.
All of the standard options are available for pre-order with prices slashed in the UK – for DVD for £9.99 (down from £17.99), Blu-ray £14.99 (down from £21.99) and 4K Ultra HD for £24.99 (down from £36.99). The 4K Ultra HD set does come with a standard Blu-ray as well.

The ultimate Toy Story fan will probably want the Lightyear 4K Blu-ray Steelbook collection, available as part of a bundle from Zavvi for £40.99 where you also get a T-shirt. The standalone Steelbook is £32.99 without the bundle.
This deluxe home video collection comes with lots of bonus features, including a filmmaker commentary track and Disney Enhanced High Definition Picture to deliver the film in the highest visual quality.
Other special features include deleted scenes, and the documentaries Building the World of Lightyear, The Zap Patrol and Toyetic about the making of the Pixar movie.

Most importantly, the steelbook has been constructed using Sustainable Packaging so it's a more environmentally conscious purchase.
The Chris Evans film takes place outside of Toy Story continuity, existing as the movie Andy would have seen that inspired his love of Buzz Lightyear as a child. It establishes the lore of Star Command and Buzz's first battles with arch-enemy Zurg.
Lightyear is out now in UK and US cinemas. The film will be streaming on Disney+ beginning Wednesday, August 3, 2022, along with the entire Toy Story series and shorts.
