Not a lot is known about A Quiet Place: Day One, but its title suggests that the story will follow the early days of the alien invasion on earth.
Krasinski will also serve as director of IF, which stars Ryan Reynolds and now has a release date of May 24, 2024.
The actor will direct, star in and produce the film and he will be joined on screen by cast members Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fiona Shaw and Steve Carell, among others.

Meanwhile, another A Quiet Place sequel is due to be released in 2025 where Krasinski will take on the role of director once again.
Krasinski previously admitted that he had never even planned one sequel, let alone a threequel, when he was writing the first film.
"I never thought that there would be a sequel," he had said at the time. "So then when I actually came around to writing the sequel, I started with the fires.
"And so this time, I think when my brain started wondering [about questions like], 'What would this mean later on?' I started to write down notes in case I could prepare myself for a third one."
A Quiet Place 3 will open in cinemas during 2025.
