An Uncut Gems reunion is (unofficially) on its way, with Frozen star Idina Menzel and comedy legend Adam Sandler both set to star in an upcoming Netflix movie.
Following their work together on the thrilling and unbearably tense Uncut Gems, Idina and Adam are taking the leads in an adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom's coming-of-age novel, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!.
The streaming service's re-imagining of the story follows young Stacy Friedman as she prepares for her bat mitzvah, one of the most important moments of her life.
Sadly for Stacy, her plans for the big day start to come undone when she catches her best friend kissing her crush, Andy Goldfarb.

According to Entertainment Weekly, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! already boasts an impressive cast, with Luis Guzmán, Ido Mosseri, and Saturday Night Live's Sarah Sherman all on board for the comedy.

Work It's Alison Peck has adapted the screenplay, while Crush's Sammi Cohen will direct. You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! has been billed as the latest entry in Netflix's so-called 'Sandlerverse', following Hustle, Murder Mystery, and of course, Uncut Gems.
