Marvel has found a director for the long-awaited Captain America 4.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney and Marvel Studios have tapped The Cloverfield Paradox director Julius Onah to take over Cap's journey in his next film.
There is no filming date, nor is there a projected release date on Marvel's calendar. The script is being written by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier creator Malcolm Spellman.

Nigerian-American filmmaker Julius Onah previously worked with JJ Abrams on Netflix's The Cloverfield Paradox and has since made the thriller Luce with Naomi Watts and Octavia Spencer.
The fourth Captain America movie will bring back Anthony Mackie, after his character Sam Wilson officially took over the shield during The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Late last year, producer Nate Moore hinted that Cap 4 will continue Sam Wilson's journey as an "underdog" with an incredible legacy to uphold.

"I think he's not Steve Rogers and I think that's a good thing," the producer told ComicBook.com. " Because to me, this new Cap is Rocky. He's going to be the underdog in any situation. He's not a super soldier. He's not a hundred years old. He doesn't have the Avengers."
There is no indication that Chris Evans will return as the original Cap for this sequel, but he did recently acknowledge a comeback for Steve Rogers is "something people would like to see".
"It just would be scary to rattle something that is, again, so, so dear to me," Evans told ComicBook.com. "That role means so much to me. So, to revisit it, it would be a tall order."
Captain America 4 has been officially confirmed. Meanwhile, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is streaming exclusively on Disney+.
