Spider-Man: No Way Home is getting an extended cut re-release

Spider-Man: No Way Home brings together three generations of Spider-Man films, and was truly a commemoration of the classic character and his numerous iterations.

No Way Home pays homage to its protagonist, most notably through Easter eggs referring to the different Spider-Men – Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. The audience also sees the three contrasting Spider-Men fighting together for the first time.

With numerous box office records broken, it unquestionably gave fans a lot to talk about. No Way Home not only provides some considerable surprises for fans, but, as Amy Pascal notes: "You see Spider-Man make a momentous decision" after Peter's secret identity is revealed.

However, now fans of the movie will be able to sit and be entertained by even more action with an extended cut of the film to become available in cinemas.

Sony Pictures took to its social media on Friday (June 10) to announce the expanded version: "You wanted more Spidey and you got it!"

The extended cut will include brand new, never-before-seen deleted scenes, and will debut in the US and Canada on September 2, 2022. It will roll out in cinemas in other countries thereafter, though no release dates for those have been revealed yet.

Further details about the extended cut on Twitter suggest the additional scenes extend the runtime by 15 minutes.

Spider-Man 4 still hasn't been officially confirmed in spite of the gigantically successful outcome of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
