The Suicide Squad star teases mystery Fast X role in new look

The Suicide Squad's Daniela Melchior has just shared the first behind-the-scenes look at her mysterious Fast X character.

While details about her role are still being kept under wraps, it does give us a small hint as to who she might be playing.

Melchior shared the photos on Instagram, revealing that her character has some tattoos, including a rosary wrapped around her wrist.

Fans of the Fast & Furious franchise will recall that Vin Diesel's character Dom Torretto wears a cross necklace throughout the films and gives it to loved ones he wants to protect.

Perhaps the Christian symbol teases that Melchior could be another long-lost Toretto sibling. After all, it was only in F9 that Dom was fighting his long-lost brother, who was played by Peacemaker's John Cena.

It does appear as though the Toretto family is ever-growing, since West Side Story's Rita Morena was recently cast as Dom's grandmother.

Diesel announced the news in a video posted on Instagram and said: "It's been my dream forever to work with Rita Moreno and the fact that she's here playing my grandmother makes my soul smile, I'm so blessed."

Moreno chimed in with: "You know what... I think my old age was waiting for you to invite me. Isn't that nice? And I'm here, and the answer is 'Yes I'll do it', and yes not only do it, I'm tickled! I'm so thrilled, this is going to be such fun."

The tenth instalment will also include superhero newcomers such as Captain Marvel's Brie Larson and Aquaman's Jason Momoa, while Charlize Theron is reprising her role as the villainous Cipher.

"You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology," Diesel previously teased of Larson's mystery character.

"Beyond her beauty, her intellect... her Oscar, haha, is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie."

Fast X cruises into cinemas on May 19, 2023.
