Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprised their starring roles, from the Spider-Man films directed by Sam Raimi and the short-lived Amazing Spider-Man saga respectively.

With three Spider-Men in total (and that's without including Miles Morales from Into the Spider-Verse), some confusion is understandable. Marvel has tried its best to help fans, giving Maguire and Garfield's characters their own MCU variant names.

Nicknamed "Peter #2" (Maguire) and "Peter #3" (Garfield) in the film, the two characters feature as "Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man" respectively.
