Spider-Man: No Way Home spoilers follow.

Ahead of its release next week, you can now watch the opening scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home above.

The clip was released on December 9 during Tom Holland's appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. We've seen in the trailers plenty of scenes of Spidey and Zendaya's MJ running away from the crowds after the revelation of his secret identity, from Far From Home's explosive post-credits scene.

This is exactly how the new movie kicks off, picking up straight where Far From Home ended. Holland had confirmed the opening during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show on December 3

"What's cool about this film is it picks up right after the second one finishes," Holland explained. "So, the second one finishes with a freeze-frame of Spider-Man. The third one starts with the same freeze-frame."

What to Read Next

Place your bets now on whether the freeze-frame is accompanied by a voice-over saying "Yup, that's me. So you're probably wondering how I got myself into this situation" or not.

We know from the trailers that Spidey asks Doctor Strange to make the world forget he's Peter Parker, but something goes wrong and villains from the old movie continuities cross over into the MCU.

Previous Spider-Men Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire are rumoured to be appearing as well, with fans convinced one of them has been digitally removed from a shot.

Garfield keeps denying that he's in the new film though, so we'll just have to wait a few more days and find out for ourselves.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is available now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. Spider-Man: No Way Home is released in UK cinemas on December 15 and in US cinemas on December 17.
