Gal Gadot has opened up about her future as Wonder Woman, admitting that while she is open to more, the story has to be "right".
The star is reprising her DC role in the upcoming superhero sequel Wonder Woman 1984, though in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy, she addressed the all-important question of whether we'll see her again as Diana Prince.
"I'm open for more, but we need to make sure that the story is right and everything is right," Gadot said. "Let's see how the world is going to be, now there's so many moving pieces.

"What I like about the process that we're having is that we try to make the movie as relevant as possible to where the world is now and try to imbue a message that we believe should be spread out there. So that's going to be our compass."

While audiences are yet to see the sequel, Gadot is among those who have, and has spoken of her emotional reaction to watching the movie for the first time.
"I wasn't lucky enough to see so many Wonder Women-type characters when I was growing up," she said. "I've got to say that when I watched the movie for the first time... when I saw the opening sequence. It was certainly something, the reaction I had, I just didn't expect to have.
"I got so emotional. And for the first time I didn't feel like I was 'Gal the actress' or 'Gal Wonder Woman', I felt like Gal, the 8-year-old, watching another 8-year-old doing something out-of-worldly and being so good at it. And she's doing it in her way, it's, it's her own, and it moves me so deeply and so much that I just, you know, I got emotional."
Wonder Woman 1984 will be released in cinemas and HBO Max simultaneously on December 25 in the US. It will be shown in some UK cinemas from December 16.
