Bobby Cannavale is unsure about whether he'll return to the MCU in Ant-Man 3.
Featured in both of Paul Rudd's solo movies, the American actor (whose credits include Boardwalk Empire and The Irishman) portrayed police officer Jim Paxton – the new partner of Scott Lang's ex-wife Maggie.
Jim and Scott's encounters provide some interesting awkwardness, so it'd be a shame if he was to miss out on a return when cameras start rolling.

Catching up with Fandom recently, Cannavale said: "I think Ant-Man 3 is going next year, and hopefully I'll be in it. I better be in it.
"I've gotta get on my phone and call Paul right now actually..." he joked.

Meanwhile, returning director Peyton Reed (who called the shots on a season 2 episode of The Mandalorian) previously suggested that Rudd and Evangeline Lilly's characters will be treated as equals in the third Ant-Man.

Referencing Lilly's Hope van Dyne, aka The Wasp, he explained to Yahoo! Entertainment: "They're a partnership, and she's a very, very important part of that.
"Finding that balance in that movie, that's very important to me because that's very much a men's playing field, historically. But that's really, really changing now in a great way."
Ant-Man 3 is currently set to hit cinemas in 2022.
