The Hobbit star Richard Armitage has admitted to keeping a prop from the movie franchise following his role as Thorin Oakenshield.
The actor, who was recently seen in Netflix series The Stranger, has 'fessed up to taking one of the swords from the film's set, just in case another Battle of the Five Armies breaks out.
Speaking to Metro, Richard revealed: "I kept one of the swords. It's a beast. It's on a shelf in my living room."

The actor also cited his role in the Peter Jackson trilogy as the one which had the biggest impact on his career.
"It was such a global success and three films came out over three years so it was a sustained period of visibility," Richard explained.

"But I was so buried in prosthetics, people don't always know it was me in that role. It took me around the globe and enabled me to work on other things. It was an incredible experience."
Earlier this year Richard was cast as the new Rassilon in upcoming Doctor Who audio drama Time War 4.

Speaking about how he stepped into the role, the actor said: "Rassilon is one of those defining spines of this lore. I've watched enough sci-fi to know that there has to be an omnipotent being that has a self-aggrandising mental state which puts him above everybody else, like a malevolent, maniacal dictator.
"I grew up with Doctor Who. The Daleks and the Cybermen were definitely my 'hiding behind the sofa' baddies. But I loved being frightened.
"Tom Baker was my Doctor. He had that voice. In a way, what I have tried to do with Rassilon is a little bit Tom Baker-esque."
Lord of the Rings will air on Amazon Prime Video, with no confirmed release date yet.
