X-Men director Bryan Singer is at the centre of reports that claim the cast of the 20th Century Fox superhero series threatened to walk out due to his alleged behaviour.

Singer has been at the centre of allegations surrounding erratic on-set behaviour, sexual misconduct and more for years, especially around the time that he was replaced as director of Bohemian Rhapsody, all of which he has strenuously denied.

Now, in a piece by The Hollywood Reporter that collects together the various allegations and lawsuits, and adds new ones, it is claimed that one particular incident almost caused the cast to leave.

In the report, Singer and several crew members allegedly took a narcotic drug and attempted to shoot a scene that was planned for the next day without a stunt coordinator, resulting in Hugh Jackman bleeding on camera from an injury.

After the studio apparently vetoed a halt in production, the main cast members (except for Ian McKellen and Rebecca Romijn) went into Singer's trailer in full costume and told him that they would quit if producer Tom DeSanto, who was concerned about everyone's safety, was forced to leave the set.

DeSanto did not comment on that alleged incident, while a representative for Singer is quoted by the publication as stating "nothing like that ever happened."
