Frozen fans are used to be being patient when it comes to seeing new adventures featuring Elsa, Anna and co. Between the first film and its 2019 sequel, there was a lengthy six-year wait – but it seems as though fans are now already desperate for a third instalment.
Unfortunately for them though, developing another follow-up hasn't even crossed the minds of the Disney creatives behind the hit animations just yet.
"We have not had that discussion," Marc Smith, Frozen 2's director of story, recently told Collider when asked whether a trilogy was on the cards.

"I think Frozen II is still too close to everyone's minds and ideas to, to think about what happens beyond... beyond that."
Set three years after Elsa's coronation, Frozen 2 sees the new Queen, her sister Anna (Kristen Bell) and their friends Olaf (Josh Gad), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Sven venture far beyond the walls of Arendelle in an attempt to save the kingdom from some menacing spirits.

Released worldwide in November 2019, it went on to become one of the biggest animation films of all time, surpassing its predecessor's already staggering success, as it made a whopping $1.45 billion at the global box office.
So, it's hardly surprising that enthusiasts think another outing is inevitable.

While there isn't another film in the pipeline right now, Disney+ subscribers can still enjoy the behind-the-scenes six-part series Into the Unknown: Frozen II, which details how the hugely popular movie made it onto the big screen.
Frozen 2 is out on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now. It is set to land on Disney+ in the UK on July 3.
