You'd be forgiven for getting bogged down in the timeline of X-Men: Days of Future Past, so it's no surprise to learn that there's a(nother) special appearance from Rogue in the movie that a lot of fans failed to clock.
Days of Future Past writer and producer Simon Kinberg revealed the secret 'cameo' in an online watch party on Twitter, telling IGN that if you look closely, Anna Paquin's Rogue can be spotted in the film's final battle scene.
Revealing the character's accidental appearance, Kinberg told viewers to look for Rogue "in the mirror of one of those pillars" in the movie's climax. "You can see her in a very quick shot," he explained.

"We didn't notice it for ages and haven't seen anyone mention it online."
Rather than a deliberate Easter egg, Rogue was largely cut from Days of Future Past. Opening up about the 'Rogue Cut' that was later released, Kinberg discussed how Rogue "was in Kitty [Pryde's] place for a certain time".

Praising Anna Paquin's "solid work", the writer also explained that the mutant was involved in "a whole subplot with Magneto and Bobby". "That's in the Rogue Cut," he added.

In other news, Simon Kinberg's latest X-Men title Dark Phoenix was recently named 2019's biggest box office flop.
The series' attempts at bringing the Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix saga to the big screen lost 20th Century Fox a whopping $133 million (£107.1m), after reportedly costing more than $200 million to make.
